Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) has signed a partnership agreement with AF Global Payment Technologies Inc. dba “Zoober Pay”, Canada, to facilitate the digital onboarding and account opening of MTB Non-Resident Bangladeshi (NRB) Accounts for Bangladeshi nationals residing in Canada, USA and other countries.
The agreement was signed on August 13, 2026, at MTB’s Corporate Head Office in Dhaka. Under the agreement, Zoober Pay will act as an authorized agent of MTB for facilitating the onboarding of eligible NRB customers.
The agreement was signed by Md. Shafquat Hossain, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Retail Banking, MTB, and Kawser Jamal, Chairman, Founder & CEO of Zoober Pay, on behalf of their respective organizations.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from both organizations, including Mohammed Javed Hossain and Shishir Sarker from Zoober Pay, and Md. Maruful Islam, Acting Head of NRB; Md. Abu Bokar Siddik, Head of Card Division; and Tahsin Shahid, Head of Retail Business, from MTB.
