Partho Saha Completes UTMB Mont-Blanc 100M

MTB-Supported Ultra-marathoner Carries Bangladesh Flag Across 174 KM and Three Countries

Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of Bangladeshi ultra-marathoner Partho Saha, who successfully completed the UTMB Mont-Blanc 100M, the flagship 100-mile final of the UTMB World Series, on August 30, 2026.

Starting and finishing in Chamonix, France, the grueling 174-kilometre course took runners through the spectacular Alps of France, Italy and Switzerland. Partho completed the race in 45 hours and 22 minutes, overcoming more than 9,700 metres of elevation gain and enduring two consecutive nights without sleep. Carrying the Bangladesh flag across the course and to the finish line, his achievement stands as a remarkable testament to endurance, determination and national pride.

Reaching the UTMB starting line was itself the culmination of a long qualification journey. Partho built his UTMB Index and earned Running Stones through international qualifying ultra-trail races. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, MTB has been honoured to support him throughout this journey, including his participation in the Fishtail 100 in Nepal, Chiang Mai Ultra Trail in Thailand, and Kaga Spa Trail Endurance 100 in Japan, culminating in his participation at UTMB Mont-Blanc in Chamonix.

MTB is proud to have been part of Partho’s remarkable journey. His achievement brings immense pride to Bangladesh and highlights the potential of Bangladeshi athletes on the global stage.

MTB congratulates Partho Saha on this extraordinary accomplishment and wishes him continued success as he carries the Bangladesh flag to greater heights.
