Mutual Trust Bank Ltd. (MTB), in partnership with Giga Tech Ltd., a market leader of eKYC solution provider for rapid banking digital service, has recently launched MTB Simple Account – a fully-digitized instant bank account opening product that provides a cutting-edge, advanced and hassle-free account opening experience in accordance with the eKYC guideline of Bangladesh Bank. An MTB Simple savings account can be opened by any Bangladeshi citizen using his/her NID via the secure web link (https://ekyc.mutualtrustbank.com) using a mobile device or laptop/desktop.
Syed Mahbubur Rahman, MTB Managing Director & CEO, launched MTB Simple at a simple ceremony held at MTB Centre, the bank’s Corporate Head Office, Gulshan 1, Dhaka 1212 while Samira Himika, Managing Director of Giga Tech Ltd. was also present. Chowdhury Akhtar Asif, Additional Managing Director & Chief Group Risk Officer, Md. Shafquat Hossain, Head of SME & Retail Banking Division, Shyamol Boran Das, Chief Digital Officer, Galib Hamid Protik, Head of MTB Operations Division, Khalid Hossin, Head of Digital Lending & Innovations and Azam Khan, Head of Communications Department of MTB along with other senior officials were also present at the launching ceremony.
