MTB HOLDS ANNUAL BUSINESS CONFERENCE (MABC) 2017

Mutual Trust Bank Ltd. (MTB) held its Annual Business Conference 2017 (MABC 2017) on January 28, 2017 at a local hotel in Dhaka. The program was attended by the MTB Chairman, M. A. Rouf, JP, Founding Chairman, Syed Manzur Elahi, MTB Directors, Rashed A. Chowdhury and Khwaja Nargis Hossain. The Bank’s Managing Director & CEO, Anis A. Khan, Additional Managing Director & COO, Md. Hashem Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Directors, Md. Zakir Hussain, Syed Rafiqul Haq and Goutam Prosad Das also attended the day-long session. Divisional and Departmental Heads, Managers of all MTB branches and Chief Executive Officers of the three subsidiary companies – MTB Securities Ltd., MTB Capital Ltd. and MTB Exchange (UK) Ltd. were present at the MABC 2017. The conference discussed strategies and plans on how the bank will reach its desired targets in 2017, considering the previous year’s achievements and current year’s economic scenario and market conditions.
“Protect & Surge”, the theme for 2017, was unveiled at the conference. The MTB Chairman, M. A. Rouf, JP, appreciated the hard work put in by all MTBians for significant progress in the year 2016 in terms of the growing network, infrastructure and launching of new products and services. The MTB Founding Chairman Syed Manzur Elahi congratulated the management and MTBians for keeping the trust of the customers by ensuring a successful closing of the financial year 2016. Anis A. Khan, MTB Managing Director & CEO thanked the MTBians for taking the leap in becoming one of the best-equipped and high-performing banks of the country. He stressed on reinforcing the commitments and realizing the bank’s expanded capabilities in achieving the bank’s vision – MTB3V. He also presented highlights of the bank’s performance, direction for the new year and five-year business strategy 2017-2021. Deputy Managing Directors, Divisional and Departmental Heads also made presentations at the largely attended conference.
