Education has always been a priority sector for MTB Foundation. The Foundation believes, education empowers people and transforms lives and engineers play an important role in the advancement of the human civilization. With a view to recognizing the significant contributions of renowned engineer of the country, Late Saifuddin Ahmed Chowdhury, Founder Director & Chairman, Associated Builders Corporation Limited (ABC) and Sponsor Director of Mutual Trust Bank Ltd., MTB Foundation recently organized the Scholarship Distribution Ceremony of Saifuddin Ahmed Chowdhury Memorial Scholarship Program at the Academic Council Bhaban of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Through this partnership, thirty-three (33) deserving students of twelve (12) different departments of BUET are being financially supported on a monthly basis.
Professor Dr. Satya Prasad Majumder, Vice-Chancellor, BUET graced the event as the Chief Guest while Rashed Ahmed Chowdhury, Director & Chairman, MTB Board Risk Management Committee (BRMC), Mutual Trust Bank was present as the Special Guest. Md. Abdul Malek, Vice Chairman from Mutual Trust Bank was present at the event as the Guest of Honour. The program was also attended by Professor Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Director, Directorate of Student’s Welfare (DSW) from BUET, Goutam Prosad Das, Deputy Managing Director & GHOICC, Rais Uddin Ahmad, Deputy Managing Director & CAMLCO of Mutual Trust Bank and Samia Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer of MTB Foundation.
