MTB Foundation commemorates World Environment Day 2025 by creating Access to Safe Water and Sanitation in Char Alexander

MTB Foundation, to commemorate World Environment Day 2025 and celebrate this year’s theme – ‘Ending Plastic Pollution’, recently initiated a Water Access Hub and Sanitation Facilities under the project ‘Jol Torongo’ for the vulnerable community of Char Alexander, Lakshmipur District.

The Water Access Hub is expected to modernize the access to clean & safe water and the sanitation facilities will greatly promote the dignity & privacy of the marginalized community, thus, contributing to the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and 15 (Life on Land). The project aims at catering to a large underprivileged segment of Char Alexander by resolving the region’s long-standing safe water and sanitation crisis.
