Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB) and ActionAid International Bangladesh (AAIB) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to bear the expenses for education and vocational training of vulnerable girls residing in the “Happy Homes” hostel supervised by AAIB. Farah Kabir, Executive Director, ActionAid International Bangladesh (AAIB) and Anis A. Khan, Managing Director & CEO, MTB signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations. A cheque for BDT 600,000/- was also handed over by MTB to AAIB, at the simple ceremony held at MTB Centre, 26 Gulshan Avenue, Gulshan 1, Dhaka 1212 on July 20, 2017.
The education sector of the country has always been a priority for MTB’s initiatives related to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). As part of the MoU, MTB will be engaging in participatory development and empowerment of women in Bangladesh through quality education.
