Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) organized an open loan distribution program at Hatibandha, Lalmonirhat to promote Maize production in Bangladesh to reduce import dependency. 778 Maize farmers received loan at a 4% interest rate under the refinance scheme of Bangladesh Bank. Md. Anwarul Islam, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, Rangpur Office distributed the loan sanction letters among the farmers as Chief Guest. Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of MTB presided over this program. As a part of the event, the Bank has also arranged a Mezban for all the attendees including the farmers.
Md. Khalid Mahmood Khan, AMD & CBO, Usman Rashed Muyeen, DMD & HoCRM, Abdul Mannan, Head of Branch Banking Division, Md. Shoab Khan Chowdhury, Regional Head of BBD, Sanjib Kumar Dey, Head of SME & Agri Banking Division of MTB along with other officials of MTB and Agro Breeders were also present in the event.
