Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB) arranged Branch Manager (BM) and Branch Anti Money Laundering Compliance Officer (BAMLCO) Conference on October 21, 2023, with a view to update and create awareness on key deliverables for Anti Money Laundering & Combating Financing of Terrorism (AML&CFT) compliance. More than 110 participants physically and 250 participants virtually; including Branch Managers, BAMLCOs and Corporate Head Office executives were present at the hybrid conference. The conference was held at the Samson H. Chowdhury Auditorium, MTB Tower, 111 Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue, Dhaka 1000.
The event was graced by Md. Masud Biswas, Head of Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) as chief guest. The conference was hosted by Syed Mahbubur Rahman, MD & CEO of MTB. Md. Masud Rana, Additional Director of BFIU, and Mohammad Ismail Prodhan, Joint Director, BFIU were present as guest speakers. Additional Managing Director, Md. Khalid Mahmood Khan, Deputy Managing Directors, and Management Committee members of MTB were also present at the conference. Rais Uddin Ahmad, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Anti Money Laundering Compliance Officer moderated the event.
