Mutual Trust Bank Ltd. (MTB) in collaboration with BizCare has commissioned a Eco-Library at the Nekjania High School in Munshiganj under Shyamnagar upazila in Satkhira district as part of a CSR project named “The Mangrove Children”. The library with solar powered learning tools and environment related books, is the first of its kind in the country. It is intended to help children of the remote villages on the edge of the Sundarbans to know about the mangrove forest, its usefulness, sustainability, climate change and disaster risk reductions.
The ceremony was attended by Bhobotosh Kumar Mondol, Chairman of the local union, Mohiuddin Babar, Chief Executive, BizCare, Head Master of Nekjania High School, Shivashish, Azad Shamsi, Head of MTB Other Division Branches, Branch Managers of nearby MTB Branches, teachers, students and people from different strata.
