The ‘CMSME Women Entrepreneur Training Program 2026’ was successfully held at the Model Mosque Auditorium in Jagannathpur, Sunamganj on September 23, 2026. The program was conducted by Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB), Syedpur SME/Agri Branch, acting as the Lead Bank. Representatives and officials from all commercial banks operating in the Syedpur and Jagannathpur Upazilas attended the event.
Ms. Samia Shermin, Joint Director, SME SPD, Bangladesh Bank, Sylhet Office, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The training program was formally inaugurated by Badrul Haque, Regional Manager of MTB Sylhet Region.
Distinguished banking professionals joined the event as Special Guests, including Debel Chandra Talukder, Senior Principal Officer & Branch Manager of Sonali Bank PLC, Jagannathpur Branch; Gul Mohammed Mahfuzullah, AGM & Branch Manager of Uttara Bank PLC, Jagannathpur Branch; and Md. Zahir Uddin (Babar), FAVP & Head of Branch, Islami Bank Bangladesh, Jagannathpur Branch.
The program commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran by Mohammad Musa Husain, Branch Manager of Bangladesh Krishi Bank, Jagannathpur Branch. The proceedings of the event were elegantly anchored by Ms. Naba Rupa Dhar Choudhury, SAVP & Branch Manager of The City Bank, Jagannathpur Branch.
The entire program was organized and coordinated by Mohammed Fitratus Sayem Chowdhury, Branch Manager of MTB Syedpur SME/Agri Branch, and Sujit Kumar Dey, Branch In-charge of MTB Sunamganj Sub-Branch During the workshop, the speakers emphasized the crucial role of the banking sector in developing entrepreneurial skills among local women and fostering the sustainable growth of the CMSME sector. The program concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from local women entrepreneurs.
