Eligibility :

• Nationality: Bangladeshi with Valid Identity Card
• Age:
  • Anyone aged 18 or above can open the account with valid documents
  • For individuals under 18, a parent/guardian may open the account on their behalf and the account will be operated by the parent/guardian
• Must have a Current/Savings account with MTB

Required Documents:

• Identification:
  • NID/Birth Certificate/Passport of the student, Parent/Guardian (if applicant is minor) and nominee
  • Student ID Card; if not available, authenticated academic documents (e.g., testimonials, enrollment letters, tuition slips) may be accepted.
• Photographs: recent passport-size
  • Student: Two copies
  • Guardian: Two copies (if applicant is minor)
  • Nominee: One copy (attested by account holder)
• Proof of Income: Income source document
• E-TIN: Electronic Tax Identification Number

Note: For MTB CASA account holders, some documents may already be on file. However, the bank may request additional documents if necessary.

Note: The amount payable at maturity /closure shall be paid subject to the deduction of tax, excise duty etc. imposed by the Government from time to time.
