Eligibility:
- Nationality: Resident Bangladeshi with Valid National Identity Card (NID)/ Smart National Identity Card/Valid Passport
- Age: 18 Years and above
- Valid proof of travelling abroad (e.g. VISA/E-VISA along with Departure and Arrival stamp given by Immigration Authority in Passport).
Documents required for Opening Account:
- Duly filled and signed AOF (Account Opening Form)
- Recent Passport Size photo of the applicant
- NID – National Identity Card/ Smart National Identity Card/Valid Passport
- Supporting Documents for confirming Address
- Nominee related documents
- Copy of relevant pages of Passport and Visa
- Relevant page of Departure and Arrival Seal given from the Immigration authority of the related port.
- Source of Fund/Income Related document.
- Documents regarding declaration to Customs Authorities in form FMJ (For applicable cases).
- E-TIN Certificate (Optional).
Latest Acknowledgement Receipt of Income Tax Return/Income Tax Certificate in case foreign currency amount is equivalent to BDT 1 million or above.
Documents required for Opening Account:
While depositing foreign exchange to such account the depositor shall furnish written declaration, mentioning;
- The date of return from abroad and
- The amount of foreign exchange brought in. The declaration must confirm that the foreign exchange:
(i) Is not a receipt against export of goods or services from Bangladesh.
(ii) Is not a commission due from abroad arising from
business deal in Bangladesh.
