Introducing MTB Visa Bond Prepaid Card under Visa network, a secure and convenient solution for making Visa Bond/Security Deposit payments without utilizing your Travel Quota. The card enables payments of (at actual) equivalent annually through approved Visa Bond/Security payment portals.

Required Documents for Visa Bond Prepaid Card & Payment

For Visa Bond Physical Prepaid Card:

Basic Identification documents for issuing the prepaid card (NID/Source of fund documents/Utility bill copy etc.)
Photo 1 copy
Passport Copy
Official Demand Letter/Invoice mentioning amount, currency, refund policy.
Visa Application Reference/Acknowledgement.

For Minor applicant only physical card can be issued by submitting Legal Guardian’s documents.

For Visa Bond Virtual Prepaid Card

Apply directly through MTB Neo and activate the card from the “Virtual Card” section.
Transfer the Bond amount (equivalent BDT) from your MTB or any other bank account to the generated MTB Virtual Bond Card along with applicable card issuance and SMS charges.
After activating the card, send an email to customer.service@mutualtrustbank.com from your registered email address, requesting activation of foreign transactions for the Bond amount. Please attach the following documents:

i. Embassy Demand Letter/invoice mentioning the Visa Reference Number, Amount , Currency and Refund Terms

ii. Copy of Visa Application proof

iii. Copy of Passport

(i) VAT will be added as applicable.

(ii) Markup Fee is only applicable when the Cardholder transacts in any foreign currency other than USD.

(iii) The card can be closed once the remitted Bond/Security amount has been repatriated.

Important Notes

Cardholder can only make his/her own Visa Bond payments using the Visa Bond Prepaid Card. The cardholder’s name must match the name mentioned in the Visa Application Form.
Transactions outside approved Visa Bond/Security payment portals are not permitted.
Annual load limit applies as per regulatory guidelines and Bank policy.
The card can be closed once the remitted Bond/Security amount has been repatriated.
