MTB Foundation organizes Eye Camp at Madarganj, Jamalpur As a sequel to MTB Foundation’s initiative to serve the marginal and vulnerable people throughout the country, an eye camp was organized at Madarganj Pourashava Karjaloy, Madarganj, Jamalpur on October 13, 2022. Mirza Golam Kibria Kabir, Mayor, Madarganj inaugurated the program along with Rais Uddin Ahmad, Deputy Managing Director & CAMLCO, Mutual Trust Bank Ltd. (MTB) and Samia Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer, MTB Foundation (MTBF). In this eye camp, a large number of underserved people were provided with eye screening services and cataract and other surgeries were conducted on identified cataract patients at the Eye Care Program of Manabik Shahajya Sangstha (ECP-MSS) partner hospital. In addition, free eyeglasses and medicines were distributed to correct refractive errors. Constructive sessions on awareness building regarding primary eye care were also held at the eye camp.
