Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB) has recently signed a Participation Agreement with Bangladesh Bank for utilisation of the Green Transformation Fund (GTF) at the Conference Room of Bangladesh Bank, Motijheel, Dhaka.
Manoj Kumar Biswas, General Manager, Sustainable Finance Department and Anis A. Khan, Managing Director & CEO, Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB), exchanged the documents on behalf of their respective organizations. Shitangshu Kumar Sur Chowdhury, Deputy Governor, Bangladesh Bank, Syed Rafiqul Haq, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Business Officer, MTB along with other senior officials of both the organizations were also at the occasion.
The GTF is intended to facilitate access to finance in foreign exchange by all manufacturer-exporters in the export oriented textiles, textile products and leather manufacturing sectors. It can be utilised for import of capital machinery and accessories for implementing green and environment-friendly initiatives. The loan from the GTF will be provided to Authorized Dealers (ADs) for on-lending/re-financing to eligible borrowers.
